When arranging modern baths, glass door structures are increasingly being used. Glass goes well with wood and is not afraid of moisture and significant temperature changes. They are installed both in the shower and directly in the sauna. In this case, it is possible to independently install a glass door in a steam room without involving a specialist.
Installing a glass door in a bathhouse
Installing a glass door in a bathhouse is not just a tribute to the modern fashion for light-transmitting structures in the interior, but also an absolutely environmentally friendly high-tech solution. There are practically no negative aspects when using this material in saunas and hammams.
In terms of its properties, glass that has undergone high-temperature treatment significantly exceeds traditionally used wood. It is safe, easy to clean, does not allow heat to pass through, does not swell, does not dry out, ensures complete tightness and has the longest service life. It is extremely difficult to break tempered glass. And numerous photos of glass doors to the bathhouse confirm that such a design solution looks much more stylish and aesthetically pleasing than wooden structures.

Installing a steam room door with your own hands
Before purchasing, it’s worth finding out what we get in the end.
Since there are some details you may or may not like:
- This material is environmentally friendly and will not harm a person even in a wet environment;
- Glass doors to the bathhouse perfectly tolerate high humidity and temperature and therefore will last for quite a long time, and under the action of the listed loads will not change their structure;
- The disadvantage can be considered the possibility of damage to the canvas by mechanical means. But this issue is being resolved and it is possible to apply an armored film to the surface;
- Glass doors to the bathhouse are sufficient (see Installation of glass doors in residential and public buildings) and this is completely possible to do with your own hands and without resorting to outside help;
- This design visually enlarges the room and therefore for small rooms it is simply a godsend;
- A glass door for a sauna will not require a lot of maintenance, unlike a wooden structure;
- Glass bath doors are transparent and this confuses some. But this issue is easily resolved and the glass can be tinted, we will talk about this below;
- The price of the material is not high and is significantly lower than some types of wood.
Glass doors for baths and saunas should be selected according to certain rules.
If you take them into account when purchasing, then you will not be disappointed at the end of the installation:
- Glass doors for baths should be selected according to the thickness of the glass; this indicator should not be less than 7 mm. The temperature in the sauna is quite high and the fabric must withstand this;
- you need to pay attention to the box, which must be made of wood, and hardwood;
- The glass door for a bathhouse must fit well enough to the jamb, otherwise there will be a draft and if you installed such a door in a steam room, then heat will escape;
- The fittings for glass doors to the sauna should not be heated, otherwise you may damage the skin.
The modern market is overflowing with offers of all kinds of models of entrance door blocks for baths. You can choose a glass steam room door to suit almost every taste.
For home steam rooms, several options for glass doors are traditionally offered:
- Designs with completely transparent or slightly tinted door panels;
- Door systems with frosted glass;
- Models with engraved drawings and photographs of various subjects.
The glass sheet is made as standard, 6-8 mm thick, opening width from 60 to 90 cm and height 180-210 cm. The material is tempered glass that can withstand overheating up to 280-300°C. The surface is fire polished, so the material is able to withstand quite serious lateral loads.
Doors for home steam rooms can be made in a frosted design. In high-quality glass models, the surface is “fogged” by chemical etching with hydrofluoric acid, so this glass practically does not sweat.
For cheap products, matte decor is obtained by conventional grinding with an abrasive mixture, which can produce individual deep scratches and scratches, which significantly reduces the strength of the glass plate.
For the normal functioning of the steam room, it is necessary to ensure good retention of hot air in the steam room, in the case of a sauna, or a mixture of hot air and steam, in the case of a Russian bath. The hottest layers of the steam room atmosphere are located under the ceiling. Therefore, the smaller the doorway in the steam room, the better the sauna works.
The optimal door size is 150x60 cm; very low doorways are used in traditional village baths. In a city steam door, you can make it higher, 180-185 cm, since the main part of the hot air is released by the heater only in the area of the upper shelves.
For Turkish baths, the size of the door does not play any role at all; the main thing is that there is a ventilation gap in the lower part of the door leaf, through which cold air dilutes the hot, humid air in the steam room.
The best solution to the problem of steam room doors is to make them yourself, and at the same time save 7-10 thousand rubles in real money if you make the entrance to the steam room from wood. Purchasing the material will cost 2-3 thousand rubles, the remaining costs depend on the qualifications of the master.
To make a glass door, you will need to find a sheet of expensive tempered glass, at least 10 mm thick. The total cost of equipping a door block will be comparable to the price of a budget model of average quality, so building a glass entrance block with your own hands is not interesting for economic reasons.
The door block to the steam room is obviously made massive and very durable. There are no locks in the leaf structure, so the door is always made heavy, usually from a board no less than 35-40 mm thick. Connoisseurs of Russian baths and light steam require that the fabric be hung with a slight slope towards the steam compartment. In this case, the unclosed sash slams shut under its own weight.
We suggest you read: How to make a steam room in a frame bath
First of all, we find a version of the door block that is available for manufacturing. It’s best to look at the most popular models from well-known manufacturers, or you can borrow an idea from steam room connoisseurs and make your own drawings for the steam room door, photos.
For construction, you can use a regular tongue-and-groove board, preferably from linden. But if you make the entrance to the steam room with insulation, then you can also use high-quality coniferous wood.
For your information! If you plan to make a door block from pine, then after cleaning the surface of the board is heated several times to 150°C and deresined with a solution.
The process of building a door block to enter the steam room consists of the following steps:
- The initially selected material is peeled off on a jointer and cut to size according to the dimensions of the web;
- The tongue and groove boards are glued and tightened with clamps into one prefabricated board;
- After the glue has dried, the workpiece is processed with a grinding machine along the planes and end surface, chamfers and corners are removed;
- Next, on the side of the workpiece that will be facing away from the steam room, foil polyethylene foam is laid and covered with cladding.
The insulation is stretched and fixed with staples, then covered with stuffed wooden slats made of aspen or linden plywood.
On the reverse side, the assembled shield is reinforced with two horizontal crossbars. Initially, you will need to cut out two “needles” - profiled bars with a trapezoidal cross-section, as in the drawing.
To attach the crossbars to the assembled panel of the future door, two grooves are milled with a cross-section that exactly matches the “needle” profile. Thanks to its wedge-shaped shape, the block easily wedges and pulls together the boards into one strong shield.
To make the box, you can use cedar or oak boards, timber, or any type of heavy wood that does not emit volatile substances.
The finished door leaf is laid out on a flat surface, blanks of the vertical sides of the door frame are alternately applied to the ends to apply markings for the mounting grooves.
At the corners, the sidewalls are connected to the sill and the top crossbar either “in a tenon” or “in the floor of a block”. The joining corner grooves are cut on all four door frame blanks, after which the core is assembled around the door leaf and adjusted to the size of the future door.
Before installing the entrance block into the steam room opening, it is necessary to mark the position of the canopies. For the steam room, standard non-demountable furniture hinges are used. Any wooden door installed at the entrance to a steam room can shrink over time, so experts recommend leaving a shrinkage gap at the bottom edge of the door leaf.
On a frame with a door laid horizontally, the unfolded hinges are applied and the markings of the drilling points for each canopy are transferred to both parts. Next, using a chisel, grooves are cut out on the door panel along the marked contour of the hinges, after which the parts are attached to the canvas using self-tapping screws.
One of the most critical operations is the installation of a door block. The installation process, regardless of the entrance model and the material from which the structure is made, begins with the assembly of the hatch or supporting box. If the assembly is done correctly, then hanging the door leaf at the entrance to the steam room will not be difficult.
Installation work begins with cutting an opening in the wall. Initially, you need to cut out a rectangular opening with a grinder, chain saw or any other tool, the dimensions of which are 20 mm larger than the dimensions of the entrance block waiting on the floor in the next room. If the block is installed in a wooden wall, you will need to make a frame and wall dowels.
The block with the canvas inserted inside is secured by stuffing wooden planks at the corners of the box, after which, together with an assistant, the entire structure is lifted and transferred to the cut-out opening in the wall.
Advantages of installing glass doors in a steam room over other types
The advantages that glass sauna doors have compared to other materials (plastic, wood, metal):
- diffused, dim light in the room, comfortable for vision and promoting complete relaxation;
- the ability to see the people inside - if someone feels unwell, you can immediately notice it;
- Regardless of the environmental conditions, the properties of the glass remain unchanged and the doors do not deform;
- to clean glass surfaces, you can use any cleaning agents, which ensures savings;
- The door to the sauna with glass does not require systematic adjustments.
Film abundance and its use
Films for glass are:
- Protective. Their strength is such that glass coated with such a film cannot be broken with a hammer.
- Thermal. After gluing such a film onto glass, the glass almost stops conducting heat (up to 80% of thermal energy is retained).
- Mirror (architectural). After gluing such a film, sauna visitors will see everything in the dressing room, but it will be impossible to see them (especially if the light is on near the entrance to the steam room) - the door will seem like a huge mirror.
- Decorative. They allow you to imitate stained glass, etching, matting, painted paintings and other beautiful exotic things on glass.
Using self-adhesive opaque films is simple - just cut the workpiece exactly to the size of the glass, separate the base layer and gradually apply the film to the glass, carefully smoothing it out.
The situation is more complicated with films on a transparent basis. Primarily due to increased requirements for the cleanliness of glass, the surrounding area and the installer’s hands. The fact is that an invisible speck remaining on the glass or film becomes visible after installation. And it can no longer be deleted.
Secondly, because of the need to use special tools. Their presence makes installation easier:
- It is best to purchase a squeegee (sometimes also called a squeegee) where they sell the film.
- Squeegee for washing windows. Allows you to quickly wash glass. It is advisable to buy not a plastic “disposable” product, but a metal professional one.
- Spray bottle for spraying cleaning solution onto glass and film.
- A sharp utility knife with replaceable blades.
- Soap solution. For a liter of water (it is advisable to use soft filtered or distilled water), a few drops of neutral shampoo are enough.
Procedure for covering a sauna door with transparent film
- Before you start pasting, wet clean the dressing room and wash the glass door.
- We mark the material according to the size of the door, depending on the design of the pasting. Be sure to cut out the material with an allowance of two to three centimeters.
- Spray the glass door with a soap solution from a spray bottle.
- We wet the film on both sides with a soap solution to remove dust from it. We remove the protective layer from the film (it is better to do the operation with an assistant) and wet the adhesive surface.
- We glue the film onto the glass and smooth it, simultaneously removing air bubbles from under the film.
- Using a squeegee, we smooth the surface of the film several times, removing the soap solution.
- Cut off the excess film with a knife.
The film dries in 2-3 days. After this, the glass sauna door is ready for use.
Glass door for a bath - what color to choose?
Modern glass sauna doors can vary in color. Manufacturers process this material in many different ways, allowing them to produce exclusive products - colored, with complex patterns, with various effects and relief structures. A classic option is transparent glass sauna doors that fit perfectly into any style. The canvas can be matted - completely or partially. The glass bronze sauna door is now at the peak of popularity. This option gives nobility to the interior and visually increases the space.

Flaws
Like any other material, glass has its disadvantages:
- This is a fairly fragile material in its normal form that requires careful handling;
- Glass surfaces have a high thermal conductivity;
- High cost of finished glass products.
But for door blocks made specifically for a bathhouse or sauna, special pre-tempered glass with a thickness of at least 8 mm is used. Therefore, such structures are characterized by increased strength, impact resistance, and low thermal conductivity. And their cost is fully recouped due to the long operational period.
How to install a glass door in a bathhouse
How to install a glass door in a bathhouse? Much depends on the location of the structure. The glass doors for saunas and bathhouses have the same properties, but different sizes. This is due to the absence of a threshold in the sauna, as a result of which free space above the floor is preserved. In a bathhouse, the presence of a threshold is necessary to retain moisture inside.
Installation of glass doors in a sauna and bathhouse is technically similar to the installation of wooden structures. However, there are a number of features:
- for glass panels, two guides are used, whereas when using other materials, one element is sufficient;
- It is important to use high-density gaskets so that the canvas holds as firmly as possible.

Removing transparency
Glass doors for a bath confuse some with their transparency, then we will tell you how to quickly eliminate this drawback, and without reducing the quality of the material.
Let's consider the options:
- A bathhouse door with glass can be made matte and not transparent using a sandblaster. The price of the work is not so high, so anyone can afford it;
- If you have a talent for drawing, then you have the opportunity to apply a drawing on the surface (see Doors for painting: we prepare and paint). There are many waterproof paints available in retail stores;
- It is also possible to tint glass; there are many films available in the retail trade that are designed just for this;
- It is possible to spray on the surface; there are a large number of companies that can easily and quickly carry out this work. It is possible to give a shade of gold and silver.
Installing a glass door in a bathhouse with your own hands
Installing a glass door to a bathhouse with your own hands will require the following tools: a building level, a drill, masking tape, a tape measure, and wooden wedges.
You can buy glass doors with or without a frame. Let's consider both installation options:
- Glass doors with a frame to the bathhouse are mounted according to the following algorithm:
- the door is removed from the frame;
- the box is fixed in the opening with wedges and secured with screws;
- the canvas is hung on hinges, using spacers;
- a handle and other additional fittings are installed.
- The structure without a box is mounted like this:
- wooden supports are installed so as to provide free space above the floor with a height of 100-200 millimeters;
- gaskets with stops are installed to fix the canvas;
- the door is leveled using wedges;
- the hinges are removed and screwed according to the markings;
- the door is installed in hinges;
- accessories are fixed: handle, magnetic latch for the glass door to the sauna, etc.

Types and characteristics of glass doors
A door is a “working” structure with which we are constantly in contact. And in difficult temperature and humidity conditions of the bath, it must be especially durable and reliable. Ordinary glass does not meet these conditions in any way, so for the manufacture of doors only tempered, heat-resistant and thick enough (at least 7-8 mm) is used.
It is difficult to cut and drill, which means you cannot make such a door with your own hands. But this is not necessary, since the choice is huge, and the price is quite affordable - on average 7-10 thousand rubles.
Door leaves
They come in two types:
- With glass inserts in paneled or timber frames. The glazing area can also be different, ranging from small “windows” to large glass in a frame made of wood or metal.
Linden doors to the steam room with colored glass inserts
- All glass products . That is, without any frame at all. They only have a handle made of wood.
Note. In any case, special glass is used. Even if it is accidentally broken, it will shatter into many small fragments with blunt edges that are not capable of causing serious cuts.
The appearance of glass depends on how it is processed. It can be white and colored, transparent and matte, with or without a pattern. The drawing is also applied in different ways.

Opening method
Depending on the opening method, bath doors can be swing or pendulum. Sliding ones are also not excluded, but due to a loose fit they cannot provide high-quality heat and steam retention.
So:
- Pendulum doors are doors that can open in any direction - both outward and inward. This is very convenient when your hands are full of buckets of water or you need to carry your child in/out of the steam room. They are attached to the ceiling (or cross beam) and floor, and not to the side jamb (see Glass swing doors: choosing, installing). And in order to keep the canvas in the closed position, the instructions recommend equipping it with a closer.
Upper hinged door fastening
- The swing door opens only in one direction and is attached to the side frame of the frame using hinges. For safety reasons, it should open from the steam room to the outside.
Swing door installation
It is important! In any case, there should be a 5 mm wide gap between the floor or threshold for ventilation and access to fresh air. The rest of the perimeter can be sealed using rubber or silicone gaskets.
Door frame material
There may not be a door frame at all in the bathhouse, and in this case the door is hung in an opening made to size. But still, with a box it looks more aesthetically pleasing. And it is most often made of hardwood or metal profiles.
What is the difference between them:
- A wooden box is less deformed in low humidity and high temperature saunas.
Wooden box
- In a Russian steam room, the temperature is lower, but the humidity is high, and the tree swells in such conditions, changing the geometry of the box. Therefore, it is better to install a metal box here.

Dimensions
To minimize heat loss, the size of the door to the steam room is made smaller than usual. Rarely does its height reach 2 meters and its width 80 cm. As a rule, canvas with such parameters is made to order.
The standard sizes are:
Box dimensions | Canvas dimensions |
59x189 | 52x184 |
69x189 | 62x182.4 |
69x199 | 62x192.4 |
69x209 | 62x202.4 |
79x189 | 72x182.4 |
79x199 | 72x192.4 |
79x209 | 72x202.4 |
Compliance with safety regulations
The selection and installation of a glass door to the sauna should be carried out taking into account safety precautions. This applies to both the characteristics of the material and the design. It is recommended to purchase thick glass (from 7 mm) so that it cannot be damaged by mechanical impact. A hardwood box is preferred. If the structure is made of coniferous wood, this can be dangerous - when heated, resin will begin to be released that can burn human skin.
Also pay attention to the material from which the fittings for the glass doors to the sauna are made. Handles and other elements should not overheat so as not to cause burns when touched.

Installation features
Since glass doors are supplied assembled and with a frame, their installation should not cause difficulties. The most important thing is not to drop the heavy canvas and install the box correctly using a level.
Advice. You need to decide on the size of the door in advance in order to create an accurate opening. Its perimeter dimensions should be 15-20 mm larger than the dimensions of the box.
The table describes step by step how to install the door to the steam room:
Image | Description of the stage |
| Remove the door from its packaging and remove the decorative trim from the hinges. |
| Remove the screws from the hinges and turn them perpendicular to the box. |
| Remove the door leaf by leaning it against the wall or laying it on a flat surface. It is advisable to lay cardboard or a rug. |
| Remove the processing strip at the bottom of the box. Check whether the position of the hinges corresponds to the opening side. If not, then move the top beam of the box in place of the bottom bar. |
| Place the box in the opening. |
| Secure the box in the opening with self-tapping screws or dowels, depending on the wall material. |
| Insert wood sealing plugs into the gaps between the frame and the opening. |
| Hang the door on its hinges. This should be done with an assistant who will hold the canvas while screwing in the screws. |
| Place decorative covers on the hinges. |
| Install the door handle. handle |
The main installation is now complete. All that remains is to foam the cracks or fill them with insulation and decorate the opening with platbands.
How to adjust a glass door in a bathhouse
When installing it yourself, it is important to know how to adjust the glass door in the bathhouse and sauna. Modern designs of door hinges are mostly equipped with a special mechanism that allows you to move the leaf horizontally and vertically over a certain distance. In some cases, to get to it, you will need to unscrew the hinge screw, which is then installed in place.

Wooden doors for steam room
The use of wood for the door block at the entrance to the steam room can be safely called a classic and at the same time the most effective solution. Linden or aspen tolerates heat well, does not warp or crack, and at the same time effectively retains heat in the steam room.
Factory-made wooden door leaf is usually made in two versions:
- Assembled from linden or aspen lining with a connection on internal keys. One or two windows made of heat-resistant glass can be installed in the door;
- A solid sheet made of tongue-and-groove boards or a more expensive option made from a single solid wood strip.
There is no fundamental difference; it is believed that a frame door made of solid wood or boards retains heat better in a steam room, and at the same time is less sensitive to the effects of condensation.
Some models of door blocks for steam rooms use veneer inserts with graphics and carvings.
The dimensions of factory doors for a steam room are the same as those of glass models, the minimum size is 180x50 cm, the maximum is 90x210 cm. Wooden doors are mounted on a frame made of linden or birch, less often from treated bleached aspen wood.
The last element is door handles; they should be made of linden wood, attached to a glass or wooden panel without glue, only mechanically. The installation height is selected when assembling the door for the paired compartment.
Dimensions of doors for steam rooms
The doors for the steam room in the bathhouse are usually made lower than the entrance doors. This is due to the fact that in this room, under the ceiling, when heated, steam should accumulate in a layer of at least 80 cm. Therefore, to determine the height of the structure, you need to subtract this number from the general parameter. For example, with a ceiling height of 240 cm, it will be approximately 160 cm. The width of the opening can be anything, it all depends on the wishes of the owner. If we talk about standards, then it is usually 60-75 cm. It is worth noting that the indicated numbers are only approximate, it is not at all necessary to adhere to them.
Features of bath handles
As for the handles, on ordinary glass doors that are installed inside country houses, they are mounted from metal. Especially if the frame for the glass door is also metal. But this option is not suitable for a bathhouse: the metal handle will instantly heat up, and if you try to open the door you can easily get burned with it. If the fittings are made of metal, then they must have a protective coating on them. But by far the best solution for a steam room is to install a wooden handle.
There are special requirements for bath handles:
- The fittings should have low thermal conductivity and not heat up too much. In this parameter, wood has no equal. It won't burn your hands even in a Finnish sauna.
- The material must be selected that is resistant to high humidity or special treatment must be used. Only in this case can you count on a long service life.
- The size should be impressive, the strength should be good. In the steam room, due to poor visibility, you usually find the handle by touch. If it is too small, this will be difficult to do.
- The product should not get dirty quickly.
The optimal material for door handles in a bathhouse is natural wood. If it is well treated, then such a product will last about 10 years. The disadvantage of wood fittings is their considerable price, because products are often made by hand. But this approach allows you to create beautiful decor on the handle in the form of carvings, give it an original shape, and turn it into a real work of art.
The most popular models are products in the form of:
- Arcs. Such fittings are made from wood, tree roots or branches, trying to preserve the natural pattern. The products are beautiful, handmade, with carved patterns. Such fittings for a glass door to a bathhouse have different sizes and prices.
- Direct. This is the simplest, most laconic design option. Such pens are made in factories, they are inexpensive, but do not differ in individuality.
- Combined or double. In this case, the handle is combined with a bolt or latch, which is quite convenient.
- Furniture models. These are handles made in the form of a ball or a similar shape. They can be very simple in design or with little finishing.
Wooden products are pleasant to the touch and do not get dirty much. To avoid damaging the glass when attaching them, silicone gaskets are installed under the fittings. The most suitable species for making handles for glass doors are alder and linden. During use, their surface is polished by touch and becomes smooth. The wood of these species heats up less than larch or oak, but they are also useful for arranging a steam room. It is also permissible to use beech and poplar. It’s easy to buy glass bathhouse doors with fittings and delivery. Many manufacturers provide this service.
Features of Tempered Glass
To make a glass door to a bathhouse to order or any other room, only material after special processing is used. The most popular option is tempered glass. The raw materials for its production are sheets of ordinary silicate glass. First, they are heated to such a state that the material practically begins to melt. After this, the layer is blown with cool air. This temperature contrast is hardening. By purchasing glass doors for your steam room, you can be sure of their reliability and durability.
As a result , glass sauna doors acquire new qualities:
- Increased strength. Tempered glass, when compared with regular glass, is 6-8 times stronger. Therefore, it can only be broken by deliberately applying brute force and a metal object. The usual slams of such a glass door are not scary. Even if the door hits the wall of the bathhouse when it swings open, nothing will happen to it.
- Complete security. The main problem of glass and its fragility is the fragments when broken. In the case of large bodies of glass, they can cause serious injuries. But this is all true for ordinary glass; this will not happen with tempered material. Not only is it quite problematic to break it, but it crumbles into small pieces with blunt edges. That is why the material is used for rooms where people stay - it is completely safe. All edges of transparent sheets are carefully polished; they cannot cause injury.
- Ability to withstand significant heat. Heat-resistant tempered glass is not afraid of temperatures up to 800 degrees. Under normal bath conditions, the door will not get very hot. If on one side of the room the temperature is +80, then the canvas on the other side will not heat up above +40 degrees.
Another good thing about tempered glass is that it can be decorated in various ways. The lowest price for a glass door to a sauna is sandblasting or chemical etching. These two methods produce a frosted glass door to the bathhouse. Surface rough to the touch. The silk-screen printing method is also used, when a design is applied to glass using stencils. Patterns on glass can also be formed through laser processing. You can buy similar glass bath doors at any specialized store.
Products that turn out to be original are after bending: the sash does not come out flat, it has curved shapes. If you need to create beveled edges at the edges, then the bevelling method is used. An expensive and very beautiful result is obtained with fusing. These glass bath doors come in different sizes. To do this, a panel is assembled from multi-colored glass fragments, and then the collage is processed at high temperature. In the furnace it is fused into a single monolith and a beautiful stained glass window is obtained. If you want to put not just a small drawing on the sash, but a whole picture, then you can use photo printing. The image obtained on glass will be durable and unique. The price of such glass doors to the steam room is quite high.
The disadvantage of tempered glass is its fragility during mechanical processing after hardening. Cutting and drilling such material is very difficult, so you should not try to do it yourself, especially without the appropriate equipment. All holes for fastening the fittings must be made by the manufacturer, then during installation all that remains is to screw them on.
Basic requirements for bath doors
Whatever the model or size of the doors, they must efficiently perform their assigned function of preserving heat in the bathhouse. Therefore, certain requirements are imposed on them. So, they should:
- be easy to open (so that you can quickly leave the room if necessary);
- have a threshold with a gap (for air circulation);
- be strong, not wide, not very high;
- have good thermal insulation and the ability to withstand external factors (moisture, high temperature, etc.);
- be resistant to fire.
In addition, they should not slam shut under any circumstances. Otherwise, the risk of getting burned by grabbing the handle or other parts is very high. Also, do not forget that wooden doors can burst due to the abundance of moisture and elevated temperatures. Don't risk your health! Place structures that you can open even by crawling (if you suddenly get a heart attack or something else happens).
Doors for hammam: basic materials
For such rooms, a solid wood option is suitable, as well as a combination of materials. A good solution is wooden swing models with glass from Sawo. They are provided with a cedar or aspen frame and base. The bronze savo successfully complements the interior.
Don't miss: Finnish doors: what are their features and advantages?
Bravo products are made of tempered glass and are completely safe. Fully transparent options are available, as well as a choice with photo printing. The matte Vesuvius model will emphasize the space with the right combination of shades. Stability is provided by a larch box, which blends well with the rest of the decoration in the premises.
Aldo doors are available in reliable sliding and hinged designs of various sizes. The frame is made of linden, protecting against heat loss and penetration of cold air. They are well suited for a hammam, as they feature interesting decorative elements. The patterned option transforms a neutral space.
Attention is paid to the selection of handles. The hammam uses wooden handles. The exception is the Tylo series - wood is used inside and aluminum outside. Easy opening is ensured, and your hands do not get burned.
